Chevron amethyst, also known as dream amethyst, dog tooth amethyst or banded amethyst, is a combination of quartz crystals and amethyst. Amethyst is actually a transparent purple variety of quartz. Other than color, the physical properties of quartz and amethyst are almost identical.
The stones provenance is central Arizona.
The stone is polished to a high luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
