Chevron amethyst, also known as dream amethyst, dog tooth amethyst or banded amethyst, is a combination of quartz crystals and amethyst. Amethyst is actually a transparent purple variety of quartz. Other than color, the physical properties of quartz and amethyst are almost identical.

This stone has darker vibrant purple stripe up the center of the white matrix around the dogtooth crystals.

The stones provenance is unknown.

The stone is polished to a high luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
