Llanite is primarily comprised of blue quartz, orthoclase feldspar, and biotite mica. The blue in the quartz is due to tiny blue rutile needles. Llanite can only be found in an area north of the town of Llano, Texas.
This stone is polished to a high luster finish both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
