Brenda, Arizona, an area just northeast of Quartzite, produces a highly prized lapidary material referred to as Brenda Jasper or Patriotic Jasper.

Its makeup is composed of milky white quartz, banded and orbicular agate interspersed within jaspers of deeps reds, maroons, boysenberry and purple material. The name Patriotic Jasper is due to the mixture of the shades of red jasper, white and blue tinted fortified agate hence the red, white and blue representing the American Flag. Occasionally the Jasper Quartz combination displays variations of Greens Reds and Yellows with dendritic inclusions and druse-lined pockets.

The finest material easily takes a high polish and produces some of the most amazing patterned cabochons.
