African Blue Lace Agate is found solely in the Republic of Namibia, a country in Southern Africa. The Blue Lace is found in a seam with the blue lace agate ranging from 5-10 cm wide. The lace is often found surrounded by a massive green calcite crystals or green dolomite.
A hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from the rare Olive Namibia Calcite, which is found encasing the African Blue Lace Chalcedony. The stone has fortified alternating layers of light olive, brown and a darker olive. The stone is cut in a Pear or Tear Drop with both a lower and upper girdle to facilitate easy stone setting. The specimen is polished to a high glassy luster.
The cabochon is ideal as a small pendant and/or component for a statement piece setting.
