African Blue Lace Agate is found solely in the Republic of Namibia, a country in Southern Africa. The Blue Lace is found in a seam with the blue lace agate ranging from 5-10 cm wide. The lace is often found surrounded by a massive green calcite crystals or green dolomite.
A hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from the rare African Blue Lace Seam Agate from Namibia. The stone has some faint fortified alternating layers of light blue-lavender and white. The stone is cut in a Sail with both a lower and upper girdle to facilitate easy stone setting. The stone measures 0.91 x 0.44 x 0.27 inches. The specimen is polished to a high glassy luster.
The cabochon is ideal as a ring, small pendant and/or component for a statement piece setting.
