Agatized Coral sometimes referred you as petrified or silicated coral is created when under certain conditions the calcium carbonate coral skeleton is replaced with silica bearing materials over millions of years, thus creating the petrified or agatized coral stone.

This specimen is a hand-cut burnt orange and tan Fan with lighter circular stacked flower patterns with darker geometric centers in colors of brown and maroon. The stone is a one-of-a-kind semi-precious piece of art with both an upper and lower girdle to ease the setting of the stone. The stone is polished to a high vitreous luster both front and back.

The cabochon is ideal as a pendant, cuff and/or statement piece.
