Agatized Coral sometimes referred you as petrified or silicated coral is created when under certain conditions over millions of years, the calcium carbonate coral skeleton is subjected to silica bearing materials being deposited the minerals, thus creating the petrified or agatized coral stone.

This specimen is a hand-cut burnt orange Skewed Navette cabochon with stacked circular patterns and darker geometric centers resembling orange slices in colors of lemon yellow, orange and burnt orange. The stone is a one-of-a-kind semi-precious piece of art with both an upper and lower girdle to ease the setting of the stone. The stone is polished to a high vitreous luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.

The cabochon is ideal as a pendant or ring and/or statement piece.
