Agatized Coral sometimes referred you as petrified or silicated coral is created when under certain conditions the calcium carbonate coral skeleton reacts silica bearing materials, thus creating the petrified or agatized coral stone.

This specimen is a hand-cut light yellow elongated oval cabochon with stacked circular lighter yellow patterns and darker orange geometric centers resembling lemon or orange slices. The stone is a one-of-a-kind semi-precious piece of art with both an upper and lower girdle to ease the setting of the stone. The stone is polished to a high vitreous luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.

The cabochon is ideal as a pendant, bracelet, cuff or ring.
