Amazonite's name comes from the Amazon River, where it is said that the greenish-blue colored stones were originally collected.

Amazonite or Amazonstone Cabochon; a fancy hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from Amazonite. The stone is a one-of-a-kind medium height piece. The stone exhibits shades of teal or greenish-blue color with mottled streaks of off-white. The stone is cut in a skewed Navette or Marquise with both a lower and upper girdle to facilitate stone setting. The specimen is polished to a high vitreous luster.

The cabochon is ideal for a pendant, cuff, bracelet, broach and/or statement piece setting.
