Due to the vibrant red, orange, yellow, purple and even strikingly white, Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood is often referred to "rainbow wood" or "pet wood".
This particular piece displays plumes within the agate field and bands of color. One of the bands of color crossing the stone looks like a homecoming sash.
The stone is polished to a high vitreous polish both front and back. The back is flat for setting
