Due to the vibrant red, orange, yellow, purple and even strikingly white, Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood is often referred to "rainbow wood" or "pet wood".
A hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood. The stone is stripped like a water-lined agate with maroon lines across a milky-white background. The stone is cut in a Pear with both an upper and lower girdle to facilitate easy stone setting. The stone measures 1.54 x 1.17 x 0.31 inches. The specimen is polished to a high vitreous luster.
The cabochon is ideal for a pendant, broach, bolo, cuff and wire-wrapping.
