Due to the vibrant red, orange, yellow, purple and even strikingly white, Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood is often referred to "rainbow wood" or "pet wood".
This particular piece displays all of the famous rainbow wood colors in bands. Imagine these color bands were most likely the tree’s growth rings at one time.
The stone is polished to a high vitreous polish both front and back. The back is flat for setting.
