Due to the vibrant black, red, orange, yellow, purple and even strikingly white, Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood is often referred to "rainbow wood" or "pet wood".
This particular piece displays a range of colors traversing the face of the stone from dark black, peach, orange and finally to a bright red.
The stone is polished to a high vitreous polish both front and back. The back is flat for setting.
