Due to the vibrant black, red, orange, yellow, purple and even strikingly white, Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood is often referred to "rainbow wood" or "pet wood".
This particular piece displays a feathered orange band (tree-ring) down the center of the stone. The orange fades off on either side to pinks, peach and cream colors.
The stone is polished to a high vitreous polish both front and back. The back is flat for setting.
