Due to the vibrant black, red, orange, yellow, purple and even strikingly white, Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood is often referred to "rainbow wood" or "pet wood".
This particular piece displays the color variations within what appears to be one large petrified tree ring area.
The stone is polished to a high vitreous polish both front and back. The back is flat for setting.
