Due to the vibrant black, red, orange, yellow, purple and even strikingly white, Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood is often referred to "rainbow wood" or "pet wood".

A hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from an Arizona Petrified Wood stone. This particular piece has some areas of white iridescence among the red-brick disruptive tree rings on a mauve background as patches across the face of the stone. The stone is cut in an Oval with both an upper and lower girdle to facilitate easy stone setting. The specimen is polished to a high vitreous luster.

The cabochon is ideal for a pendant, broach, cuff and or statement piece.
