Due to the vibrant black, red, orange, yellow, purple and even strikingly white, Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood is often referred to "rainbow wood" or "pet wood".

A hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from an Arizona Petrified Wood stone. This particular piece displays iridescent patches with broken tree-rings atop a background color of mauve and white. The stone is cut in an Oval with both an upper and lower girdle to facilitate easy stone setting. The specimen is polished to a high vitreous luster.

The cabochon is ideal for a pendant, cuff, bracelet or broach.
