Due to the vibrant black, red, orange, yellow, purple and even strikingly white, Arizona Rainbow Petrified Wood is often referred to "rainbow wood" or "pet wood".
This particular piece displays a brick red stripe down the face of the stone. One side is a field of deep purple and the other is a camel color.
The stone is polished to a high vitreous polish both front and back. The back is flat for setting.
