Arizona Picture Jasper is not a real jasper, but rather a rhyolite. It is marketed for its Landscape pictures and its wild lightening or Indian Painting patterns. The majority of this material is heavily silicated as well as fine-grained, but the grains are not as fine as jasper. The source of this material is mined in the Globe Arizona area.
