Burro Creek Wilderness area lies along nine miles of the upper reaches of Burro Creek, a perennial stream crossing through the wilderness. The Upper Burro Creek Wilderness area covers over 27,000 acres. Burro Creek is a rock hound’s paradise, but the area does not easily give up its most sought after purple crystals, opal or jasper stones.

The piece is a rare unusual calico patterned jasper with subtle oranges, creams and a greyish purple background. There are also dendrites and plumes visible within the stone.

The stone is polished to a high luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
