Burro Creek Wilderness area lies along nine miles of the upper reaches of Burro Creek, a perennial stream crossing through the wilderness. The Upper Burro Creek Wilderness area covers over 27,000 acres. Burro Creek is a rock hound’s paradise, but the area does not easily give up its most sought after purple crystals, opal or jasper stones.

This stone has a composition of tan, beige, orange, blue and grey granitic material (feldspar, quartz, muscovite mica and maybe a few other minor minerals like garnet or little dark crystals of biotite, amphibole or pyroxene).

The stone is polished to a high luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
