Carlina, a fancy hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from the rare Carlina Picture Rock. The source is believed to have played out leaving only estate sales as sources of this beautiful material. The stone has carnation blue area resembling a sky bordered on the lower side by shades of golden browns resembling sandy beaches and cliffs. The stone is cut in a skewed navette making it perfect for a pendent or smaller statement piece. The stone has an upper and lower girdle that facilitates stone setting. The stone is polished to a high luster.
