Carlina, a fancy hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from the rare Carlina Picture Rock. The source is believed to have played out leaving only estate sales and the inventory of older rock shops as sources of this beautiful material. The stone has swirls of golden browns resembling a sand storm across a mottled pale blue background. The stone is cut in an exaggerated oval and polished to a high luster. The stone has an upper and lower girdle that facilitates setting. The stone is polished to a high luster.

The stone is perfect in a ring or pendant setting.
