Chapenite (Siam siding) Jasper, a very colorful brecciated stone with a wide variety of colors and brecciated patterns is found in the Mojave Desert near Fort Irwin, California.

Chapenite brecciated jasper is actually broken fragments of jasper that have been naturally re-cemented together with chalcedony to form a beautiful piece of nature's art.

Chapenite Brecciated Jasper Cabochon is hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from the rare Chapenite Jasper. The stone is a one-of-a-kind medium height puzzle of colorful jasper stones. The shades of yellow, ocher, pinks and hints of orange decorate the surface. The stone is cut in a skewed Navette or Marquise with both a lower and upper girdle to facilitate stone setting. The stone measures 1.92 x 0.99 x 0.207 inches. The specimen is polished to a high vitreous luster.

The cabochon is ideal for a pendant, broach and/or statement piece setting
