This material was harvested from an area in close proximity to the Chilito Copper Mine and Velasco Pit Mine, both of which are closed Arizona copper mines with extensive oxidized zones. The stone is comprised of colorful Quartz, Chrysocolla and Azurite. These mines are in close proximity to the town of Hayden, AZ.

This specimen is very colorful with some turquoise colored Chrysocolla and blue Azurite. This stone is stabilized.

The stone is polished to a high luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
