Chrysoprase is a gemstone variety of chalcedony if translucent. The apple-green color is due to the small amounts of nickel within the chalcedony.
The source material for this stone originates in Madagascar. This particular piece exhibits a white line and a couple of random spots, which are intense areas of subsurface druse crystals.
The stone is polished to a high luster both front and back. The front has many small polished subsurface druse crystals. The back has several open crystal vugs. The back is flat ready for mounting.
