Dendritic Opal is a type of common opal with dark manganese oxide, tree or fern-like inclusions without any color play. Milk Opal is a type of common opal with hues of pastel colors such as light blues, greens and pinks. Milk Opal can at times be of gemstone quality. The base opal, sometimes known as “potch”, commonly occurs in a variety and wide range of pastel colors.
This Milk Opal Specimen has a pink hue with brick red and dark navy colored dendritic inclusions scattered throughout the stone.
This stone is polished to a high luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
