Crazy Lace is one of the best-known varieties of banded chalcedony. Mexican Crazy Lace Agate is found exclusively in the area known as Chihuahua, located in Northern Mexico. Crazy Lace is known for its stunning fortified patterns and bands of colors. The agate primarily gets its color bands from infused iron, aluminum and other minerals.

This specimen shows a variety of the crazy lace patterns on its face; fortified, pink, brick red, peach, brown, orange, mauve, cream bands with gold colored trim.

The stone is polished to a high vitreous luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
