Crazy Lace is one of the best-known varieties of banded chalcedony. Mexican Crazy Lace Agate is found exclusively in the area known as Chihuahua, located in Northern Mexico. Crazy Lace is known for its stunning fortified patterns and bands of colors. The agate gets its color from infused iron and aluminum.

This specimen has a fortified wall that goes up one side of the stone and across the top. The stone has one very small open druse pocket near the top center of the face.

The stone is polished to a high vitreous luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
