Crazy Lace is one of the best-known varieties of banded chalcedony. Mexican Crazy Lace Agate is found exclusively in the area known as Chihuahua, located in Northern Mexico. Crazy Lace is known for its stunning fortified patterns and bands of colors. The agate gets its color from infused iron and aluminum.

A fancy hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from Laguna Crazy Lace rough. As with all crazy lace, the stone is a one-of-a-kind piece of art with a fortified shades of yellow over a cream and grey fortified background field. This specimen has an overall red color cast to the left with fortification patterns across while transitioning to the lighter pale-yellow background. The cabochon is cut in a Sail with both a lower and upper girdle to facilitate easy setting. The specimen is polished to a high vitreous luster.

The cabochon is ideal for a pendant, cuff, broach and/or statement piece.
