Crazy Lace is one of the best-known varieties of banded chalcedony. Mexican Crazy Lace Agate is found exclusively in the area known as Chihuahua, located in Northern Mexico. Crazy Lace is known for its stunning fortified patterns and bands of colors. The agate gets its color from infused iron and aluminum.
This specimen has beautiful bands of cream, tans, yellows, whites and maroons fortified lines about the face of the cabochon. The fortification pattern is well balanced.
The stone is polished to a high vitreous luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
