Crazy Lace is one of the best-known varieties of banded chalcedony. Mexican Crazy Lace Agate is found exclusively in the area known as Chihuahua, located in Northern Mexico. Crazy Lace is known for its stunning fortified patterns and bands of colors. The agate gets its color from infused iron and aluminum.
A fancy hand cut and polished semi-precious cabochon made from Laguna Crazy Lace rough. This specimen has beautiful bands of cream, tans, and browns fortified lines about the face of the cabochon. The fortification pattern is well balanced. The cabochon is cut in a Pear with both a lower and upper girdle to facilitate easy setting. The specimen is polished to a high vitreous luster.
The cabochon is ideal for a pendant, broach, cuff and/or statement piece setting.
