Kambaba or Crocodile Jasper is a green stone with black orbs spread throughout the stone. The stone is harvested or mined in Madagascar just off the southern coast of Africa. The stone has the imaginary appearance of the dorsal surface of a crocodile with randomly placed orbs, hence the name.
The stone’s primary colors are deep forest green with black outlined orbs. The semi-precious stone is cut into the shape of a triangle with both upper and lower girdles that facilitate setting the stone. The stone is polished to a high vitreous luster.
The cabochon is ideal for a pendant, bolo and/or statement piece.
