Lepidolite is a rare lavender colored, lithium-rich mica mineral. When impregnated with quartz, Lepidolite is used as a gemstone. It may at times also be found in the colors of pink, light red or purple.
In this specimen, the white is the mineral albite, the lavender is lepidolite the speckles are mica and the milky area is quartz.
The stone is polished to a high vitreous polish both front and back. The back is flat for setting.
