Mookaite, a special jasper only found in the Mooka River of Australia. The typical primary colors for Mookaite are Deep Red, Yellow Ocher and a Cream-colored white. The bright white material is typically too soft for lapidary.

The Mookaite Jasper is a highly prized semi-precious stone from Australia. This stone displays highly contrasting yellow stripes across a maroon red background. The stone is cut in an Oval shape with both a lower and upper girdle to facilitate easy stone setting. The specimen is polished to a high vitreous luster.

The cabochon is ideal for a pendant, broach and/or statement piece setting.
