Purple Cow Agate and Jasper is a mixture of variations of red, yellow and purple agate in a host rock of brown jasper. Purple Cow is found in the McDermitt Caldera on the Calder Rock Shop’s claim. The Caldera Rock Shop is located in the southern end of the town McDermitt. The town of McDermitt straddles the border of Oregon and Nevada.

This particular piece is full of drusy (miniature crystals that sparkle) laden pockets.

The stone’s provenance: McDermitt, Oregon.

The stone is polished to a high gloss finish both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
