Due to its close proximity, the name for this agate comes from an historical ruin called the Shoofly Village, located several miles down the road. The area renders many small multi colored agates
This particular piece displays a nicely Patterned Shoofly Plume Agate with purple splotch trimmed in orange and a lighter orange cap on one end of the agate field..
The stone is polished to a high vitreous polish both front and back. The back is flat for setting.
