Shoofly Agate is a very colorful banded, plumed or dendritic agate found within narrow seams of basalt in central Arizona.
This specimen of shoofly agate has colorful plumes within the chalcedony. This stone exhibits some bright orange and yellow inclusions or patterns.
The stone’s provenance: Houston Mesa, Arizona.
The stone is polished to a high vitreous finish both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
