Sodalite is a rare blue to blue-violet rock-forming mineral. Sodalite forms through the crystallization of sodium-rich magmas within igneous rocks. The magmas are silicon and aluminum poor resulting in the absence of quartz and feldspar minerals.
The stone is polished to a high luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
