Sycamore Creek is known for its fire truck red jasper as well as other types of colorful jasper. At one time, the area had several cinnabar mines. Today many rock hounds hike the creek looking for the colorful Jasper.
Rare and distinctly mottled and patterned red and dark jasper with splashes of milky quartz and a black Chert.
The stone is polished to a high luster both front and back. The back is flat ready for mounting.
