Christopher Creek Zebra Stone is found in an area east of Payson, Arizona. The area is part of the exposed Martin Formation, which was a shallow marine shelf approximately 400 million years ago. The stone’s color ranges from black to brown with shades of grey and tan to brown banding. Projectile points have been found that were made from this material.
The stone is polished to a high polish both front and back. The back is flat for setting.
